The B&B and Country
Inn MarketPlace is pleased to reintroduce Maxine Pinson to the
readers of our magazine. Maxine was a columnist for our
magazine between 2000-2005, and she is the author of The INNside
Scoop: "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Bed & Breakfast
Inns" (a book published by us.)
 |
During the past forty years, Maxine has been a guest at
approximately 500 B&Bs and country inns throughout the US,
Canada, and seven European countries. She began her
travel writing in 1994 while publishing a parenting
newspaper. After giving up her newspaper in 1995, she
began writing inn reviews for The INNside Scoop (www.innsidescoop.com),
a bi-annual B&B newsletter which she also edits and
publishes. Maxine is assisted by her daughter, Malyssa,
who serves as associate editor of The INNside Scoop
and has co-authored three different editions of
Lowcountry Delights Cookbook and Travel Guide with her
mother since 2002. |
Beginning with this edition of The
B&B and Country Inn MarketPlace Guide, Maxine will be
providing a full-page inn review (newly visited B&Bs or ones
recently appearing in The INNside Scoop B&B
newsletter), a page recognizing B&Bs that have been named by
The INNside Scoop as "Inns Extraordinaire," 2 B&B
recipes (from inns visited by Maxine serving extra good
breakfasts), and selected excerpts from her B&B book - the
only one of its kind available.
Maxine lives in the historic district of Savannah, GA -
Georgia's B&B capitol - with her husband Bill and their
retired greyhound, Barrister.
