“Southeast Michigan's Most Unique Historic Inn" D riving up the hill to Cobblestone Manor, I am struck by the overwhelming charm of this picturesque Second Empire style home. Trying to take everything in at once, my eyes dart from the grand fountain to the magnificent gardens to the lattice-based gazebo. But the profusion of Old World cobblestones delights me most of all. The property is aptly named!Built in 1840 and one of the county’s original farm homesteads, Cobblestone Manor stretches over two acres. It is located in the central business hub of Detroit’s northern suburbs and less than 30 miles from downtown Detroit. The home was totally renovated in 1997 and designed, specifically, with the needs of the professional business traveler in mind. Heather and Paul Crandall, owners and resident innkeepers, opened the inn for business in 1998. The Crandalls are caring and thoughtful individuals who desire to make each stay at their inn a memorable one. |
